Perhaps this section could be, more accurately, called 'Frameworks that provide some background to, and/or which help to contextualise this project, but for brevity's sake, I opted for the title 'Theoretical Readers'.
As such, you will find descriptions of variables models and frameworks — some which deal more directly with the questions around what's needed to survive, maybe even flourish, in a post-collapse world; some which focus more on the 'advocacy and awareness-raising' aspects of preparations to 'wind-down the human enterprise' and, perhaps, some which focus on the not-inconsiderable task of building social and community structures that will give people a 'fighting chance' of remaining resilient at the village and 'federation-of-villages' scale.
Having spent several years in the refugee-rights activist movement, I fully acknowledge the importance of the latter, however that is not the focus of this project. And their importance, pre-collapse notwithstanding, once the essentials of day-to-day life become hard, if not impossible, to source reliably, I believe that the existential questions and peoples' focus will, of necessity, shift to if and how one can best hope to guarantee the foundational levels in our hierarchy of needs.
